FROM THE BISHOP

Welcome to the Website of the Diocese of Daet!

In 2024, the Diocese of Date will celebrate its 50th Foundation Anniversary.

Let us be one in thanksgiving to God for the gift of being a local church.

This year 2023, on our 3rd year of preparation, we are called to SHARE the fruits of our faith.

We are grateful to those who have come before us and planted the seeds of faith.

We look forward to August 31, 2024.

Bishop Rex Andrew Alarcon

FABC 50 - The Song of Asia | Composed Fr Carlo Marcelo | FABC General Conference

Song of Asia - Theme Song of FABC 50 General Conference - composed Fr Carlo Marcelo Lyrics Bless our God who walks with us On our shores we see Love coming Casting seeds on all our land. To our night comes suddenly shining A great sign to set us free. And at dawn we see Your sun. All our shadows now have meaning. We now see a sister, a brother. No more strangers in our land. (No more strangers in our land) Chorus 1 God the Father, mercy is Your Name. Our Lord Jesus, redeem our pain. Holy Spirit, fill us with the Fire of Great Love. Bless our God who walks with us. (Bless our God who walks with us) Chorus 2 And the poor will proclaim Your praises. Our young Your mission will embrace. And Creation’s groaning now will be heard. Holy Peace to all will be served. (Holy Peace to all will be served) You have woven us together, Different shades now shining as one. We are gifts to one another. Salt and light to everyone. And at dusk we see Your star Pointing to a new direction. We now serve every sister and brother. We are one family in our land. (We are one family in our land) Chorus 1 God the Father, mercy is Your Name. (Holy Peace to all will be served) To the margins we will go And behold the face of the Lord! Chorus 2 And the poor will proclaim Your praises. Our young Your mission will embrace. And Creation’s groaning now will be heard. Holy Peace to all will be served. (Holy Peace to all will be served) Chorus 1 God the Father, mercy is Your Name. Our Lord Jesus, redeem our pain. Holy Spirit, fill us with the Fire of Great Love. Bless our God who walks with us. Bless our God who walks with us. HÁ PRESSA NO AR Official theme song of WYD Lisbon 2023 [international version] Lyrics: 1. From far and wide to gather in this place We spread our wings and here we are, And with Mary proclaiming our Yes We seek to serve and follow the will Of the Lord, our Father Chiamati ad essere come Cristo Gesù, Vogliamo dare, diventare, Docili al sì, essere come Maria. [Chorus] 4. Sans aucun doute sur sa mission, Si jeune, Marie quitte promptement Sa maison et part dans les montagnes Voir Elisabeth et trouve immédiatement Salutation, communion. Le fruit est béni, c'est mon Seigneur! And I want to hear: You trusted in my word and happiness is yours! [Chorus] ---- Letra/Lyrics | João Paulo Vaz (Pe), Matilde Trocado, Hugo Gonçalves (Pe).
